THE CLAPP ENTREPRENEURIAL OPPORTUNITY INITIATIVE
Helping to inspire and galvanize small business innovators
Overveiw
Entrepreneurialism significantly impacts both local and global economies, fostering job creation, competitive markets, and innovative ideas. Successful entrepreneurs enjoy economic mobility, flexibility, time management, and financial independence. The Annual Clapp's Entrepreneurship Opportunity, named after Mr. Vernon Clapp, supports small business innovators through education, collaboration, and mentorship.
The Premier Pursuits Program, part of the C.E.O., offers business development workshops and courses to enhance entrepreneurs' success. This year's program features a public platform for top contestants to unveil their business plans, along with a pitch event for cash prizes. Entrepreneurs can refine branding, marketing, and implementation strategies with the help of SBC partner educators, coaches, and mentors during the C.E.O. Challenge.
The opportunity is open to new ventures in the seed, startup, or early operations stage, as well as existing businesses affiliated with Alamance Community College through the Small Business Center or other college courses.
