Important Information

• Students must register and pay at least 48 business hours before class date. 
• All Defensive Driving classes are held at the Dillingham Center (1304 Plaza Drive, Burlington), Exit 145 off I-40/ I-85
• Students are not allowed to bring children with them

 

Students should have these items handy before they begin the registration process

• Driver's License number or Passport number
• Citation Number/ Case Number
• County of Citation, if out of state - please list the state

 

Arrival time/ Late arrivals/ No show fee

• Students must arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled class to check in.  Students will need to bring the Photo ID or passport that they used used to register to check in.
• Late arrivals will not be admitted. 
• Students that do not show up will be charged a $20 No Show Fee.  This fee must be paid before a student is allowed to reschedule.

WHAT CLASSES WHOULD I TAKE? 

ACC cannot advise students on which class to take.  Students should check with their lawyer or the DA's office to determine which class is needed.

 

DDC4 - 4 Hour class
The 4 hour class is designed for low speeds, stop sign and stop light violations. Topics covered include safety belts, child safety regulations, passing safely, the effect of alcohol and drugs on driving and vehicle laws and regulations. (NOTE: The DDC4 class can only be taken ONCE in a three-year time period - Meaning, if you have completed a DDC4 course within the past 36 months you will need to complete a DDC8 course to facilitate your mandated requirement)

 

DDC8 - 8 Hour class
The 8 Hour class is designed for high speeds, speeding in a work zone, speeding in school zone, all other aggressive driving violations and repeat offenders.
