MEDICAL CODING & BILLING
This course is designed to develop coding skills. Emphasis is placed on diagnostic and procedural coding in the outpatient facility. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate proficiency in coding for reimbursement.
To take this course, students must be proficient with uploading files online, downloading files to a computer, and able to utilize an E-Book with an access code.
Certified Prof Coder Exam Prep (CPC)
This is a review course that provides instruction to prepare students to sit for a national coding certification exam (the CPC/Certified Professional Coder credential). Topics include diagnostic and procedural coding; review of coding guidelines; and compliance and regulatory policies. Upon completion, students should be able to sit for the CPC exam and various other medical coding certification exams.
