ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSING

ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE


Graduates of these programs are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and become licensed by their board of nursing.

 

We offer day and evening options for the program. The day option begins every Fall semester, and students can complete their degree within 5 semesters. The evening option enables students to complete their degree in 7 semesters. The evening option begins once every 2.5 years (the next start date is Jan 2027).

Upon graduation and successful completion of the NCLEX-RN, students are eligible to work in hospitals, physician offices, skilled nursing facilities, home healthcare services, health departments, insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, outpatient clinics, and schools.

 

A typical week in nursing school (just NUR courses):

  • 2 lecture days (3-4 hours each day)
  • 1 clinical day (12 hours)
  • 1 lab day (6 hours) during the first semester only

  • Verification of certifications eligible for additional points: EMT, CNA II, CMA, RMA, Veteran with military medical training (i.e., Combat Medic, Corpsmen), Paramedic, LPN/LVN
