Introduction to Residential Landscape Design

Are you looking to transform your home's outdoor space into a captivating paradise? Our introductory course in residential landscape design is the perfect starting point. Designed for both homeowners and budding green industry enthusiasts, this program can be conveniently completed from the comfort of your own home. Dive into the fundamentals of the design process, explore the principles and elements that underpin quality landscape design, and build a strong foundation for your landscaping skills.

This class is fully online and self-paced.

Hardscape Design and Installation

The installation of pavers to create beautiful patios, pathways, and retaining walls is becoming more and more popular. This course will provide students with information about the principles and procedures involved in the installation and maintenance of hardscapes, particularly interlocking concrete pavers and retaining walls. Students will acquire technical knowledge and hands-on training/skills as it relates to site analysis, hardscape design and selection, hardscape installation and maintenance.

 

Landscape Account Manager Certification

This is a 12-week program designed to help landscape account managers and others in similar positions that are new to the green/horticulture industry. This course will provide an introduction to specific topics related to landscape management. Topics include but are not limited to: Plant growth, plant identification, pest management, production planning, soils, and many more!

This course will meet for a period of 12 weeks with approximately3 hours of materials presented online each week asynchronously. There will not be a specific time that you will be required to sign in which makes this course easy to fit into your schedule!

Landscape Crew Leader Certification

This is a 12-week program designed to help landscape crew members and/or leaders that are new to the green/horticulture industry. This course will provide an introduction to specific topics related to landscape management and leadership training. You will earn a certification upon completion of all sections;  Understanding Plants, Horticulture Field Techniques, and Leadership Effectiveness. Topics include but are not limited to the following: plant growth, plant identification, pest management, leadership skills, soils, and much more.

 

Landscape Equipment Maintenance and Repair

During this course, we will dive into how small engines operate, preventative maintenance, and repair troubleshooting steps. You will gain hands-on experience performing maintenance and repairs on equipment such as pressure washers, mowers, and tillers.
